Part II Overview of Hazards
Emergency Overview:This product is flammable. Due to the release of gas inside the particles, it may be irritating to the eyes and respiratory mucosa.
GHS Hazard Categories:According to the series of standards regulating the classification of chemicals, warning labels and warning instructions (see Part XV), the product belongs to flammable solids, category 2; specific target organ systemic toxicity single exposure, category 3.
Label Elements:
Pictograms:
Warning words:Warning. Flammable solids.
Hazard Information:Flammable; its powder mixed with air can form an explosive mixture, the case of fire high heat caused by the risk of combustion and explosion. Burning produces toxic carbon monoxide gas.
Precautionary Notes:
Precautions:Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use only non-sparking tools. Use explosion-proof electrical appliances, ventilation, lighting and other equipment. Handle and unload lightly to prevent damage to packaging or containers. Do not operate until you have read and understood all safety precautions. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Incident response:Firefighters must wear full-body fire-fighting clothing and air respirator to put out the fire in the upper wind direction. Suitable extinguishing agents: misty water, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder and sand.. If eye contact is made, lift the eyelid and flush with flowing water or saline. Seek medical attention.
Safe storage:Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. The ambient temperature should not exceed 25 ℃; it should be stored separately from combustibles, metal powder, hydrocarbon solvent, strong oxidant, etc.
Disposal:Refer to relevant national and local regulations before disposal. Incineration method is recommended for disposal.
Physical and Chemical Hazards:Flammable; its powder mixed with air can form an explosive mixture, the case of fire high heat caused by the risk of combustion and explosion. Burning produces toxic carbon monoxide gas.
Health Hazards:Usually in the application of the product, due to the internal gas release particles, may be irritating to the eyes, respiratory mucosa. Acute poisoning: cough, chest tightness, cough less sputum, the appearance of trachea and bronchitis. Acute poisoning usually does not occur in the primary state of EPS.
Environmental Hazards:Harm to the environment.

Part V Fire Protection Measures
Particularly dangerous:Flammable; its powder mixed with air can form an explosive mixture, the case of fire high heat caused by the risk of combustion and explosion. Burning produces toxic carbon monoxide gas.
fire extinguishing methods and extinguishing agent:Firefighters must wear full-body fire fighting clothing and air breathing apparatus to put out the fire in the upper wind direction. Move the container from the fire to the open as much as possible. Spray water to keep the fire container cool until the end of the fire. Extinguishing agent: atomized water, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand.
Special fire extinguishing methods:—
Protective equipment to protect firefighters:Firefighters must wear gas masks and full-body fire fighting clothing to put out the fire in the upper wind direction.
Part VI Emergency Treatment of Leakage
Protective measures, protective equipment and emergency treatment procedures for operators:Isolate the leak contaminated area and restrict access. Eliminate all ignition sources. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks and anti-toxic clothing. Do not touch broken containers and spills until you put on protective clothing. Cut off the leakage source as much as possible and cover the leakage with plastic cloth to reduce scattering. Do not allow water to enter the packaging container. Collect the leakage with a clean shovel, place it in a clean, dry container with a loose lid, and remove the container from the leakage.
Environmental protection measures:—
Methods of containment and removal of spilled chemicals and disposal materials used:Clean, dry containers with loose lids
Precautions to prevent secondary hazards:EPS particle leakage scattered on the ground, should be cleaned immediately, find the source of leakage to replace the packaging.
PART VII OPERATION, DISPOSAL AND STORAGE
Operation Precautions:Operators must be specially trained and strictly abide by the operating procedures. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Avoid contact with combustibles, metal powder, hydrocarbon solvents and strong oxidants. When handling, light loading and light unloading, to prevent damage to the packaging. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire fighting equipment.
Storage Precautions:Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. The temperature of the warehouse should not exceed 25 ℃. It shall be stored separately from combustibles, metal powder, hydrocarbon solvent and strong oxidant, and shall not be stored in mixed storage. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to produce sparks. Vibration, impact and friction are prohibited.
